I have attended, or been a part of, no few meetings since coming to Arx. It became expected, of course, and my mother ensured I had years of lessons to prepare me for such duties. Rarely have I held meetings that didn't involve a tallying of numbers, or comparison of ledgers and taxes.

Assisting His Grace in our recent meeting, having called our banners, was outside of my comfort zone a little. I am not well-versed in matters of military and war, so a meeting all about those exact things...well. Thankfully, our gracious allies - Sir Preston of the Templars, and Archduchess Belladonna and Princess Gabriella of House Pravus - were able to join us and share their experiences and insights. I'm so very grateful to each of them, as well as to those from our fealty who attended and offered their own valuable words and insights, too.

I think we all came away knowing more than we arrived with, and with hope in our hearts as we prepare for the upcoming battles.

Relationship Note on Neilda

Who said you should do such a thing? Did someone tell you that? No Neilda, you're not meant to sit still. Not even a little. Where is the enjoyment in that?

The mirror ball was a welcomed distraction and had a very exceptional end.

While there were truths to learn, and some people punching mirrors, I think all in all, the dancing was good fun.

The more serious matters are on the agenda, so I very much appreciate the ability to let loose, at it were.

I prepare for the assembly to speak of the role we shall all take in the tough times to come.

I'm just grateful that my special friends are doing well. Archibald is such a fabulous gyrfalcon.

Wherever you are, I will find you and I will free you. As I promised I would do.

I will never look in a mirror the same way again. I will look even more closely!

I think I saw some wrinkles. True horror. Got to keep an eye on that.

Relationship Note on Neilda

No, sister, you are not supposed to sit still. You are not a flower planted, blooming under the fawning adoration of an observer. You are a petrel soaring, feathers stretched over the sea to seek the horizon.

Another Bloodmoon has come and gone, and was as beautiful as any I remember.

I'm so pleased that those who celebrated with us enjoyed themselves.

Nothing quite like the reflection of the sky in the water.

Although I once won the creativity prize at a poetry contest one year, it is really hard for me to put together the right verses. Yet, I still try!

The musical party at the Murder was the most cut-loose fun I've had in a long time! We really, really have to make that an annual thing. Even the nobles need a chance to sing some silly stuff! Especially the nobles!

I cannot believe how quickly May will be upon us, and with it, the freedom once more to roam late into the evening with the balmy weather awaiting us. For all else the challenges in the world present, the smallest, singular moments induce such joy.

There is nothing more delightful than a painting inspired by a single word. If anyone would like to see a visual representation of the word Bumblefuck, please do let me know and I shall be glad to show you Mistress Samira Culler's fine work!

Another blood moon come and gone.

So much different. So much the same. So much more to do.

And yet, at times, one gets a feeling that there is so much more happening or in store for us than one realizes.

Despite the rising worries and war, I am cautiously optimistic we shall again prevail.

I sang and danced for the moon last night.

I smiled upon her beautiful, blushing face and made my little wishes in hope of hope and a deep desire for better things for myself and others.

I know she cannot hear me. I know she cannot see.

But even so, I sang and danced for the moon last night, and found my spirit free.

Scarf has started to sing. I'm sure it sounds lovely to his own kind, but to us it's more like screeching. I've less an understanding of otters than I did before I owned this pet.

Attending the mirror Ball was all that I could have hoped for, I even got the confirmation I was looking for. May my steps fall true upon this path I have chosen.

Not true in every case, of all tribes, but more often than not..

Most Abandoned tribes survive by not being noticed by the bigger houses. Not a one of them could withstand the Compact if the Arvani came at them with sustained force, they need survive by holding enough power to dominate their territory, without holding so much or taking so much that they grow big and troublesome enough to get Noticed. Being left alone to hate their neighbors is the best many tribes can expect.

It's a fine balance, which greed, pride, or ill luck can upset all too quick.

Amongst all the crazy that has been going on, I forgot to offer a Congratulations to Lord Strozza and Lady Orelia on their marriage. It seems it was a long time coming. Alessia and Miranda need all the help they can get after all....
