There's room for a dab of levity, even during trying times. Perhaps especially during trying times.

, and is seen as the birthplace of DEMONS, or as slaves call it, 'The Birthplace of the MASTERS'. Elysia is spoken of as a paradise that is closed to mankind, and untainted by the world, Eurusyia, 'The World Above', though most slaves believe that they suffer enough through the world that they will be taken to it after a time spent in URUINNI to purify them from all worldly taint.

Do not forget.

"The name for the real world is referred to as Eurusah, which roughly means 'The World Around Us', and referred to by slaves as URUGERISH, meaning 'THE HELL WE ARE TRAPPED IN'. Most aren't taught about the other worlds, as it is prized knowledge that would be seen as prying into the affairs of Magistrates of the Mirror, but the Shining Lands is treated as a limbo for lost souls after they died, and a midway point between the worlds, called 'The World Between', or Eurussimi, and called by slaves URUINNI, 'THE POINT OF ESCAPE'. The Abyss is called 'Eurehome', or 'The Void Below'

Grave news reached me in our quiet settlement beyond, and the winds of war have sped my flotilla here to Arx where I've brought my own ship along with the Leviathan's Howl, the Shadow Manta and the Broken Dragon to dock at Arx. Sadul, Friata and Kahildr stand with me ready.

I bring tribute and with such, an offer for the Kennex. The Tidelord will fight the Fleet of the Lash, and may the sword and wave decide which side is just, sending the unjust to the watery depths below.

Relationship Note on Sydney

Your frustrations are ones I know quite well. Not all of them, no, but in this I do. There were no few times I felt passed over for things because I 'only' fought with my fists and it can be defeating, if you let it. So it seemed to me anyhow. Sometimes I did let it defeat me, I have to admit, but it rarely kept me from the ring most times.

It meant a lot to read your words, too. It's good to hear about others who respect the sweet science and genuinely /enjoy/ it. You can tell, I think, when it means something to someone. Your name is one I've been hearing quite a bit these last few months, and I bet I'll keep hearing it. I'll have to stretch out these aging bones and hope to catch you at the training center one of these days.

Not to rush things...

But, I live for the day when he claims my family name.

And for the day when I bear our firstborn. And every child after.

Such thoughts carry me forward through everything and hold me through all other needs and concerns.

I've discovered the perfect thing for this hot chocolate that they sell at the coffee house.

Dump it out.

Drink coffee. You're wasting perfectly good coffee cups with this.

All the rest of you are far too joyous.

Stop it.

Relationship Note on Fairen

It was wonderful and most welcome to catch up with my cousin instead of just playing with his darling babe in the garden of a time.

Makes me very excited to contemplate what we might turn up working together to plunder the remaining mysteries of Leaholdt, and not just because of certain family friends who will be along to help with that!

Although, I now have the oddest urge to try and recruit Elloise to help me remake his glasses in another color of glass just to see if it gets noticed immediately.

I've met a beautiful kitten and now am in love.

No seriously, it's so fluffy. I want to hold and pet it forever.

I don't know if I would have even minded it shredding the umbra panels of my dress.

The threat of Eurus rises.
Panicked whispers spread through the streets.
Everywhere is talk of another war.
The King himself denounces Falak and warns Eurus of the strength of the Compact.
Grayson rallies its banners, prepared for conflict.
Valardin...bans socks with slippers.

It has never been clearer why we call this world the Dream.

Though the idea is amusing even to me of a line of pugilists standing shoulder to shoulder in battle, it's rather not to my point.

Refusing those who would lend their very bodies because they don't wield a blade is rather an insult, and to the detriment of us all.

And, sadly, an insult and dismissal that I've come to expect.

I don't like to be forced to do something I don't feel comfortable doing. Then if I don't do it exactly I'm one who looks mean. I may stay inside for a while except what I have to do for work. Maybe a little staycation and have my alcohol sent to me. Perhaps I can teach Hops, have I been neglecting him to care for others ... it's possible.

Relationship Note on Ida

I'm quite honored that you took the time to respond to the frustrations I aired. In my career as a pit fighter, and ever more so with my recent experience in places of Arx not constrained to the Lowers, your name has come up time and time again as an example of one who walks a path near to that which I walk.

It means a great deal to read your words, and to have you weigh in on what I already know to be true:

Underestimate the empty hand of an opponent at your own peril. Even those who pride their weapons are not immune to a well placed strike.

A returned trip from Southport once more to this fine city. The visit for the purpose of walking our Malvici dock and shown tour by the harbour master there. To see where we could make improvements to the efficiency to have more trade move through, but also to aid the fleet leave when in hurried need.

At least some time got to be spent in the raucous bars by the harbour side, a rare visit for me to one of these barrooms - sometimes you just have to treat yourself.
