Mine winter is nearing only by temperance of which others will see, not of what shall actually be. Spring and Summer scream loudly for that is what is sought, neigh this sinking of waves lapping upon the chest.
Oy! A cry across the winds of which none bother to feel, yet for one. A lone tree, massive, and strong. Holding up the coverage of safety from all of the storms, from which I can build a shield and club.
No more will the masses tell me what I can and cannot do.
The passing night's orb traded for warmth and breath.
Forever left with simply...
Mine.

Relationship Note on Nina
Nina's music creates ripples of welcome, swells of excitement, and brief lulls of contentment. To be in her company at Braiga is to be on a voyage of music, dance and merriment. I was pleased to see Prince Patrizio Pravus and Princess Valencia Velenosa dancing to the melodies she conducted.
Spellbound I watched my sister and cousin perform the blade dance of Ischia, and, though I had no part in it, I felt immense pride in the reaction of our guests who witnessed that alchemy of grace, ferocity and fire. Nor did Prince Sebastian and Princess Adrienne forgo the opportunity to display the unsurpassed elegance of Houses Pravus and Valardin in the arts of dance.
It was an honor to host Sir Corban Telmar, who dazzled the duelists and pirates of the Seraceni court with conduct giving irrefutable proof of the merits born from the chivalric tradition by which he lives. It is my hope that guests from Tor, New Hope, and the Fortezza di Iriscal enjoyed themselves as much as I did. I shall spare my dance partners the infamy of being associated with my name, but I am grateful for their charity, and only regret that my skill is leagues behind that of the rest of my family.
When scholars of the future seek answers to how the diverse peoples of the Compact came together to cast down the might of the false prophet and his minions, they will find amid the records of oaths, treaties and alliances, the name of Nina Autumndale, whose arts wove together disparate threads of power into an invincible tapestry of hope.

( Sorry, Scholar. )
1. "Sure. Surprise me."
2. "You need more climbing trees, please."
3. "I'll never wear muddy boots to any courtly function -- especially at dinners."
4. "No. Too knightly to scout, too restless to knight, not really an archer either buuuut -- hey -- I'm still an asset."
5. "I said ass, didn't I?"

At least, it seems like I did.
And I spent a good amount of time speaking kindly of others. Sending missives to sing praises. I made an attempt to connect some people. Then I was told my friendship is practically synonymous with fame.
What? Oh, is there still a bit of blood on me? My apologies.
There is a lot on my mind lately, but I can see you're uncomfortable now that you've noticed the blood. I'll leave you be.

Regardless, a pleasure to have my feet squarely in Arx again.
Time to catch up on the word about town, and that means grabbing a sip at the local taverns and bars, or perhaps a spar is in order.

I will be making a donation for the gown and jewelry that I was so graciously permitted to keep. Tuck it away and wear another time, once it has spent the appropriate amount of time on display in the crossroads. But it was divine and I felt...
Beautiful.

Seeing that Arx and the front lines are kept well supplied, our city protected and our trade routes clear of trouble, does not exactly scream heroic. I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t part of me that wants to be in the middle of the fray. But wars are not won by warriors alone.
Gods know that I’m ready to be there if those I care for are in need. But honestly, I’d rather there be smooth sailing for them. More alive to welcome home and share a drink with is far more wanted than having my vanity and pride stroked and fed.
So, drinks are on whoever gets home first, loves. I’ll be have a bottle waiting for you. Don't take too long.

I was honored to model a cupridium outfit like no other made by a Master Decius at the event honoring former Guildmaster Joscelin Arterius. I will keep an eye out for more of his work, to be sure. The whole event was wonderfully put together by Count Duarte, Mistress Caprice, and Mistress Lore. The amount of talented crafters that we have in Arx is second to none! And Lottie's catering was exquisite, though I admit I was too nervous to do more than pick. It was a jolt to my nerves, but in a good way. These are the sort of things I live for as a Whisper.
I have had the good fortune to meet so many interesting people this week, even through correspondence. For those of you I've been trading letters with, I hope we get to meet face to face soon.
