The Pridehall Kite festival was quite nice, I only got to see the beginning though. I expect it flared up quite a bit more as it continued.

Doc? Doc's gone, too? One by one the family and former family are getting whittled down. I've had many a laugh and many tears shared with Doc. He was always supportive, always game for a challenge, my right hand and my supporter during troubled, difficult years. Looking forward to the next Festival of Death event - the Spider Petting Zoo! Miss Saro Ulvieto of the Bard's College will be main hostess, with me as co-host. She's a bit of an expert on spiders and will have various kinds for wiewing, even petting. I'll bring Silk, my own spider. In fact, people WITH spiders can bring them along!

To have seen the Pridehall Kite festival was quite something. The colours, the cheer and the joy brought on the face of the child there. Also the surprise to see Lord Michael become competitive with the fighting kites.

While it is true that controlling propaganda is a vital tool, merely observing this misses another important point: controlling propaganda is only useful if you know how to use it. Part of this mastery comes with anticipating how your opponents will respond to your tactics. It is much like being an expert showman who can account for every aspect of his theater.

Attending the Artshall Spring Fete today was simply delightful! Duke Cristoph Laurent outdid himself, especially with the dance competition he arranged. Princess Zara was a wonderful dance partner, though the victory ultimately went to Lady Jael and Princess Gwenna who posed quite a challenge. Still, my congratulations to them, it was a well earned win.
At least it gives me the opportunity to offer my patron some dance practice, to which I eagerly await the day. It should be quite fun!

It does a lot to explain the hypocrisy as to why Thrax is allowed to take its time to free its slaves, to prevent undue harm from acting rashly, and yet without warning and with no proper justification for the haste of this action this embargo was put into place.
If it is to enrich the Grayhopes, it all makes sense.

Countess Scythia Seliki, Countess-Consort of the Pearlspire, was of House Redreef before she married Count Orrin Seliki and joined his House. I state this not for its own sake, but so that any who read this will understand the gravity with which I say that House Redreef will stand allied with House Seliki in seeking to bring to justice those who butchered their guardsmen. I cannot say that I knew personally any of the victims of this unforgivable crime, but I can say with all certainty that to attack House Seliki in such a way is to make an enemy of not only them, but House Redreef as well. Any resources that I have available will be put to helping Count Orrin and Countess Scythia in obtaining the justice they seek.

I was so concerned about Riagnon trying to eat Calaudrin's ring that I went straight to Lottie's and asked if it would be possible to make a more-proper-to-eat candy ring.
To my joy they were able to spin some sugar into a ring that I could give it to him as a substitute.
