Relationship Note on Calista
Lycene pool party. It was nice to--Cool down. And see others do the same. It was also just as nice, if not more so, to see my cousin Duchess Calista. Well, by marriage. I suppose that matters to most. Kudos to her and Duchess Grazia for allowing others the chance to cool off from the hot sun. Which turned into a water fight of sorts I think. Which still turned into a great time. A welcome distraction from current times. Even if it was brief.

War is looming. You can feel it on the horizon. When you walk down the street. People are fidgety and a bit more..anxious? It makes me sad and a bit more determined to want to help wherever I can. It's a different feeling of want. It's a---feeling of wanting to prove that we can all come to together when all seems lost. Does that make sense? Probably not scholar. I'm awful at trying to express myself. I should probably not bother most of the time.

You ask why there are not more Liberators, yet many claim to support them. I am one of those who makes that claim, and I would be happy to discuss with you the sort of things that I've managed thus far in making strides for freedom. In fact, you might be able to aid me in some of the more complicated ways I have found, but that is a conversation for another day.
The truth is, I have been thoughtful about which discipleship best fits me as a layperson. Currently, I am a member of the Scholars of Vellichor, for I love folklore and learning more about it. But I could also be a Disciple of Jayus, because I like taking that folklore and writing songs from it, otherwise reviving the songs of the past. Or I could join the Templars, because I feel strongly about honor and Gloria. And Solace? I am quite fond of Lagoma, Our Lady of Change, and the role of the Knights of Solace appeals to me. As a person of Faith, I have almost too many options to choose from, and I only have limited time. I very much wish I had more time, but already I feel a bit stretched thin.
Nonetheless, if you do need help with the Liberators, please reach out to me. I would be happy to offer as much aid as I can manage within the time allotted to me.

We suffer a lot in our society from loneliness. So much of our life is an attempt to not be lonely. In my travels, I see those attempts as plain as day: in the abuser who curry power so others must do as he says; in the braggart who shows off his strength so others must stare at him; in the fop who natters incessantly so others must hear him. They all say, in their own ways: "regard me, that I may feel less alone in the world." They are trying to escape the inevitable, like those who vainly try to beg and cajole to avoid the Queen of Endings.
We can pretend. We can entertain each other; however, that is the best we can do. When it comes to the actual experience of life, we are all alone. To expect anyone else to take away our loneliness is asking too much.

I've spent the night preparing my new office at the Iron Secretariat. It feels... unusual to suddenly be possessed of such a thing. So much has changed, so quickly of late, and I'm still finding myself trying to get my feet under me in terms of adapting. That, and it is positively strange to be standing, middle of the night, in midst of a general's office staring down at a table-sized map of our holdings and being so very much aware of the awesomeness of the task of defending such terrain.
What indeed would my parents think, if they saw how far I've risen? Would they be proud, or would they perhaps be warning me that such swift rises are oft followed by as rapid descents from those lofty heights? I don't know the answer, but I do so deeply hope it is the former.

Relationship Note on Venturo
With recent tragedy weighing so heavily, it is unspeakably therapeutic to have something bright on the horizon. The recent report from Venturo on Port Venture's progress to date and the development projects already underway have lifted my spirits considerably. I am so proud of what he's achieved and so eager to see what we're able to build together. Six years of collaboration, and it feels like we still have so much ahead of us.
I might even, in only this one obviously emotional moment, find myself inclined to call myself lucky.

Met a mercenary of late who called herself Mad, and called a knife the perfect weapon on account of having a point and two edges. It weren't a bad knife, bit skinny, but no guard or hilt worth mentioning. Just a thin blade.

Relationship Note on Calla
This woman is something special. She has seen some hardship, and she is very different from the rest of her family. Facing life alone I know she is realizing that she is not alone truly. And being different isn't a negative, it can be quite the positive. She is intelligent, a thinker. She has a strong heart that is blossoming.
Am I in love with her? Yes. That much is obvious and true. I support her in her endavours, and in finding a marriage. I want to see her have children even more than she does! Then I can spoil them and we can eat treats together, play games, have pillowfights, and play chase the goose around the pond! I must get to them before Marquis Cirroch to teach them Cake is for eating, not for throwing!
The Baroness of Red is strong, stronger than she realizes. She will run her barony with strength, intelligene, and will lead them into a new strength. One does not have to be on the battlefield themselves to lead, elevating those of worth and support I think will bring you the best support and not only build upon what your ancestors and family have done, but elevate it, increase it.
I am so proud of you, and I'm seeing you grow, become confident. Don't doubt yourself - ever, but listen to others. A plan can be crafted but always can be tweaked, sometimes those with experience have knowledge and insight you don't even know you seek. I used to think No no I want this, or I know this, or I just want it my way! As a bratty young girl I led my own life astray. Your a more knowledgable person than I was that much I think is absolutely true. Being open to the advice, and experience of others is something I've seen you do.

Tor has no rivals in beauty, but some aspect of it suffuses the Fidante Villa of Arx. I had one of the most pleasurable days in recent memory swimming and conversing with the guests of Duchess Calista and Duchess Grazia.

Relationship Note on Ciro
A special man had a special day.
He danced (carefully) with Lady Medeia, with me and Calla. I might have fallen on my tushy making it feel a little less cushy. But he made me feel comfy. He made me a chemise to swim in, which was quite nice. Very Lycene, and I quite love it! Lycene's know how to live! Light, airy, fun to look at clothing. And you can usually climb a tree in them.
We had a bit of a gruff missive exchange going, but I met him a bit by chance due to a mutual interest friend. I do think he's pretty special. He might be a Lord, but he also is Lord of the dance! With a wiggle, and a jiggle, and a flippity twirl. That's how I saw him on the dance floor with grace and flow and dancy terms I don't know.
There's a softness to him, and he keeps feeding me treats. I'm not going to say no, to a fig and a cobbler. I just open my mouth to become the gobbler!
Nomnom nom, yum yum yum. Though I've found eating treats is more fun with a friend.
I hope you felt special on your very special day. Filled with loves and hugs, dancing as long as you might! Remember to take it easy or a sprain you'll experience in a place out of sight.

I had the fortune of being able to recommend a meeting to the Princess, though she is often busy. I got to recommend her character. As someone strong, whom has gone from grace, to graceful strength and will. Thrax is strong, and it is partially from her leadership and hand upon it.

I have waited, to gather my thoughts, in the hopes that the words will come, and take away the pain. Or at least lessen the sting.
Prince Damik was an impressive man, and to see him and Lady Monique together, as they came out of the chambers where they'd had their private discussion was a sight - and when I saw their expressions, I felt hope blossom in my chest. I witnessed firsthand the might he and his soldiers brought to bear at Sungreet. And I thanked the gods they were on our side.
I never did spend much time with him, beyond that. Though I was happy for my friend, and eager to see how the two of them would change each other, as I witnessed the first spark of Lagoma's touch between them.
I mourn our loss, Prince Damik'uhl'daja. But I celebrate that you were with us. I still carry hope that the fires sparked on your ship that day will still rise into a mighty conflagration.
And while I am no soldier, I will strive to forever remind people why we fight. And that we have more in common than not.
